Analysing my song

Song - Black The Ripper Let Out My Pain

Section 1 - Target Audience

The age for this song is from 18-28 as he speaks more about adult things for example government and politics. Are you the type to breeze out in a fight and leave your best friend there to get knifed people that are 12-15 are not really thinking about fighting or people getting knifed.

The gender for this song is more to the male side as he is speaking about his past and the male audience can relate more to the lyrics and the vibe of the song for example Am not ill rock without thinking twice swinging my arms and digging out eyes here he is speaking about fighting and mostly boys fight.
The interests of this song is government and politics as throughout the song he is speaking about how the world that we are living in is no good for him as they have let him down quite a few times so he does not rely on them any more.
The location of this song is world wide because he is not speaking about a specific place or country for example Were living in a world he says world not country, he is also saying that the country we are living in is bad and that the government are not doing anything to help.
The ethnicity is all as he does not speak or indirectly speak about a certain ethnicity.

Section 2 - Analysing lyrics

The lyrics are quite powerful as you can see that the rapper is speaking about his past an example of this is I learnt how to survive in year 5 hustling for meals every single lunch time this could mean that the rapper had a hard life and did not have much money ect so he had to beg for money on a daily to eat food at lunch.

Another example is My empty kitchen is caving my ribs in but it’s a way of live that I'm use to living these lyrics could mean that the rapper did not have a lot of food in the house or hardly any which meant that he did not eat but because it has been like this for so long he is used to it.
A third example is Were living in a world that’s scandalous black boys are acting like savages these lyrics could mean that whilst he is walking on the streets he sees black boys acting like animals and living on the streets.

Section 3 - Analysing music

The genre of this song is rap and you can see this through the beat of the song and also how the rapper is rapping, this links to the lyrics because most rap songs and rappers rap about there past and deep things and you can see that this rapper is rapping about his past because of this lyric I learnt how to survive in year 5 hustling for meals every single lunch time. This then shows the audience that the artist has had a bad upbringing and wants to share what he has learnt with his audience.

Section 4 - Analysing Tempo

The tempo of this song is quite slow and quite relaxing this connotes that the rapper wants a slow song so that his lyrics are more vibrant towards the audience and also so that the audience are more focused on what the rapper is speaking about. From the tempo of the song being slow this then makes the song more effective towards the audience as when they watch / listen to the song they can feel what the artist is rapping about.

Section 5 - How you would visually use this in a music video

I learnt how to survive in year 5 hustling for meals every single lunch time I would visually use this in a music video by having a young child in a school uniform with the camera filter as black and white going up to a group of people asking for money and then them saying no and turning there back to the other child.

My empty kitchen is caving my ribs in but it’s a way of live that I'm use to living for these lyrics i would have a person in a kitchen with nothing in the cupboards and nothing in the fridge.
For the chorus I'm high off tie this weed is slowly damaging my brain

I cry you cry where all humans everyone’s made the same

I try to survive and not make careless mistakes again so

I write memorise pick up the mic then let out my pain

I'm high off tie this weed is slowly damaging my brain

I cry you cry where all humans everyone’s made the same

I try to survive and not make careless mistakes again so

I write memorise pick up the mic then let out my pain i would have a boy in the studio rapping to this into the mic i would also have cut away's to graffiti and also shots of the actor walking / rapping to the camera on the street.

Throughout the first verse i would have the same boy walking through the streets at night rapping to the camera and also looking around like he does not belong in the world as throughout his lyrics he is portraying this to the audience.
